Ἦχος πλ. α’

Ὢ φίλοι, ὁρᾶτε, μηδεὶς ὑμᾶς χωρίσει μου φόβος, εἰ γὰρ πάσχω, ἀλλ’ ὑπὲρ τοῦ Κόσμου, μὴ οὖν σκανδαλίζεσθε ἐν ἐμοί, οὐ γὰρ ἦλθον διακονηθῆναι, ἀλλὰ διακονῆσαι, καὶ δοῦναι τὴν ψυχήν μου, λύτρον ὑπὲρ τοῦ Κόσμου.

Εἰ οὖν ὑμεῖς φίλοι μου ἐστέ, ἐμὲ μιμεῖσθε, ὁ θέλων πρῶτος εἶναι, ἔστω ἔσχατος, ὁ δεσπότης, ὡς ὁ διάκονος, μείνατε ἐν ἐμοί, ἵνα βότρυν φέρητε, ἐγὼ γὰρ εἰμι τῆς ζωῆς ἡ ἄμπελος.

Both now and forever and to the ages of ages, Amen.

Catechizing your students O Lord, You were teaching them saying:

„Oh my friends, be careful so that no fear separate you from Me, if Ι suffer, I do it in favor of the World;

don’t get skandalized with me, I did not come to be served, but to serve and give my soul in favor of the World;

thus, if you are My friends, imitate my example, the one who wants to be first should be last, the Bishop the same as the deacon;

stay in me, so that you bring bunch of grapes, because I am the vineyard.”
